Over the last few months, I've been working with Avatar in between pages of Freakangels to put together a 16 page mini artbook that will be sold at Wizard World Texas which I'll be attending as a guest this November!
There are 3 variant covers, each of which has been created for this collection, and this is the Wizard World exclusive variant. I'll be posting up the standard variant in the next few days too, but you can see it at the link above in the meantime Technical Info: As usual the pic is pencil lines coloured in photoshop. The original pencils are A3 sized. Photographic textures from CG textures were used to relieve the flat look of the photoshop shading, and picture was referenced using a 3D model of a Boeing 747 and a simple figure to scale (I could only achieve that sort of perspective with an extreme lens), along with this awesome article about cloud and jet effects. There's no theme to this really, I just thought it would be a cool image, and I vaguely want to write a story about a mystery shopper who is hired by an airline. |
