It's an avi file just under 30MB and uses X-Vid compression. If you can't play it, download Div-X player for free, here: [link]
If you have problems with Div-X player, download the the VLC media player [link] This works with inbuilt codecs, so doesn't require your computer to have anything else installed on it.
Here we have it, finally!
The plot is an extract from 'Rolighed', a story by that we're both working on pitching to Tokyopop as a full length manga. This is a trailer of sorts for it ^_^ I'm trying to get this seen as widly as possible, so please, download it, show your friends, show your proffessional contacts, anything is a big help! If anyone wants to make a feature of it on thier website or blog, that would be fantastic as well, I just want to try and get as many people as possible to see it! ^_^
(*note, the story and concept is still at the pitching stage which means Tokyopop haven't said anything definite about wanting or not wanting it...)
Tech stuff:
Animation hand drawn in pencil coloured in Photoshop.
Backgrounds in Maya, with hand drawn textures, no lighting effects, and Toon lines for some sections.
Compositing and special effects in After Effects (the god of all programs).
EDIT: Unfortunately, the manga that I was working on, that this animation was a sort of 'trailer' for, didn't get accepted. We put so much effort into the project, and so many things went wrong that we've decided to put it on the shelf for the moment. Maybe we'll dig it out in a few years once we've gained some perspective, but for now we're working on a new project entitled 'deck'
Just thought I'd add this edit in case anyone was curious, since a few people have asked.
Heh, I'm all asking you, "When can I see it?" and you already posted it!! Silly me Anyhow, awesome stuff!! You've got ME hooked on the story, at least So many cool things I saw there--go you! Must've taken ages I myself have absolutely no patience for animation.
Omg, have you any idea how many levels this scores on?! Dammit O_O.
I've been eagerly awaiting for you to finish this; I saw the preview and loved the concept from the start. Everything is excecuted so perfectly, and the colours/environments are so well thought out- VERY professional.
I always compare your artstyle to French illustrators XD, are you into them?
Anyways I would really love to see more concept art/animations of this project, it looks high intruiging!! Well done to both of you on this fantastic piece!

the movie looks very professional, you did a really great job on it! And yeah, humans are born out of pain, intensity and feeling. So your metaphor here is quite excellent. We are just an experiment of ourselves wanting to know what it is like to be alive. But we all make different experiences, some find it very painfull and sad, some find it the most joyfull and exciting thing possible.

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
