These are some screenshots from my final project this year. It's a short film entitled smoke, based loosely on he beginning of a short story by

and further inspired by 'right where it belongs' (from NIN's new album... beautiful song), which i used as the soundtrack. The idea of the piece is that reality is slowly falling apart around the main character as he takes a cigarette break from work ('cause reality always does that when you least expect it XD). The people and buildings around him start to dissapear or change in a smoke-like manner. I hope the screen shots convey that in some sense... it was really hard to produce those effects with live action footage rather than in animation.
