I wanted to do a heavily politicized piece for once, and this is an issue that I feel strongly about. The proliferation of nuclear weapons is a serious problem fraught with hypocrisy and dishonesty on behalf of the developed and armed nations, and constant threat from developing and arming nations.
I wish it were as simple as reaching out and disarming every warhead in existence, but it's not, so all I can do is make people think a bit...
Is the threat of mutual destruction really all that stands between us and annihilation? Would a boundary, a nation, a god, a flag or a friend mean anything to you if the sky lit up and your world, followed by your flesh, literally began to disintegrate? Can you imagine what abject terror feels like? Can you condone your country owning and manufacturing, improving and developing the means to cause this?
