I thought I'd post this page up too ^__^ Compositionally, it's a little similar to the other one, but different enough for it not to matter I think. I'm a little annoyed with the way the real bird came out. I didn't reffereance it enough, so it just looks kinda... wrong... in a way I can't put my finger on. The cage design, and mechanical bird are refferenced heavily from 'clover', my fave clamp manga (which seriously takes comics places they very rarely go... something clamp can't claim to do often ^^).
Once again, done with rapidographs, and touched up on photoshop.

i think both birds are perfect! the only "wrong" thing you could possibly be referring to is the fact the real bird's head is turned slightly inward and the fake one's head is cocked outward. yeah another great work! so pretty

This picture is as good as the other one. I like th real bird. i like the way you did the feathers and wings. I like the fact that it looks like they are holding up the story. i think you did the mechanical bird beautifully. That's actually how I picture it.

that's so beauty, it reminds me the birds of clamp's manga, Clover, you knou it, no? ^^

Ah! I'm glad someone noticed that ^_^ That was on purpose actually to give the picture some dimension, and make sure it didn't just look like one bird was a mirror image of the other.

^__^ Yeah, like I mentioned in the comment, it was heavily influenced by clover. I love that manga! :D

you made the mechanical and the real birds,sooo perfectly.I love the feathers and the cage is the most interesting parts.the line is so clean and smooth.love these one:love:
